A Bar Mitzvah is a time when a boy becomes a man ... and his parents flaunt their wealth ... which is what happened at the Bev Hills Hotel Saturday when the grandson of former MGM mogul Kirk Kerkorian made the transition.
Jewish sources tell TMZ ... Ross Hilton Kemper and Kirk's daughter Linda Kerkorian dropped $450,000 for the 007-themed shindig, with performances by Iggy Azalea and Nick Jonas.
Interesting choice of venues ... there's a big Beverly Hills Hotel boycott in L.A. because its owner, the Sultan of Brunei, is the gentleman who advocates the stoning of gays and adulterers.
Nonetheless, a good time was had by all, especially the adults, because -- let's face it -- 13-year-olds don't know crap about Dr. No.
